
PADI Confined Water Diver
For individuals 10 years old and older. Students will complete elearning and all required confined water dives for PADI SCUBA Open water certification.
Meets at the Urbana Indoor Aquatic Center. During the weekdays, classes are scheduled in 2 hour slots from 6:30 PM to 9 PM. On the weekends, the schedule is Saturdays from 12:15 PM to 2:15 PM and Sundays from 9 AM-11 AM. To reserve a spot, please email Justin Rhodes, the instructor. Cost is $230 for PADI online elearning and $290 for in person training in the pool (total $520). Non-refundable. Includes access to all the equipment needed except mask, fins, snorkel and wet suit. Consider purchasing a shorty wet suit (3 mm thick), and your own mask, fins and snorkel.
**Note, students who complete this course will still need to perform the 4 open water dives and associated skills, separately before receiving the PADI Open Water Diver certification. We offer a trip to Curacao for completing the open water dives (see PADI Open Water Diver in Curacao).
**Important Requirements** All participants must know how to swim. At the beginning of the class, all participants will be asked to float for 1 minute unassisted, then swim comfortably for 25 yards on top of the water and under water for 2 yards.
